Dr. Rachna Kenia, MD

Founder · Board-Certified Psychiatrist & Psychoanalyst

Dr. Rachna Kenia is a board-certified psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, and the founder of Kenia Wellness. With over a decade in practice, she built Kenia Wellness on a simple conviction: both clients and clinicians deserve more: more time, more depth, and more cultural understanding.

She earned her MD from SUNY Upstate Medical School and completed her psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai St. Luke's-Roosevelt. She is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and formerly served as Medical Director of the Center for Intensive Treatment of Personality Disorders, as well as a psychiatrist at the William F. Ryan Center and the NYU Counseling Center.

Dr. Kenia practices psychoanalysis that takes into account both your past and present, exploring the patterns that shape a life. Her approach draws on psychodynamic, psychoanalytic, DBT, trauma-focused, and culturally sensitive methods.
